Hi! My name is Danielle Ellis and I am The UnFit Mom. I live in a small town outside of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am a former clinic nurse and made my way as a product boss growing a successful Car Freshie Business. I've wanted to share my journeys with the world and give you all the tips and tricks I've come to find. I'm on a fitness and wellness journey to be the best me I can be. As a mom in my 40's with a 15 year old son and a 24 year old daughter, i've experienced so much. Battling my weight, mental health, physical health battles and more. I want everyone to know that we are all "Unfit" in some aspect of our lives. We are just not perfect. Parenting is hard. Balance is hard. Life is hard. I look forward to bringing you quality content that you can relate to and find that while you may feel "unfit" we are all fit to live the life we were given. My Fitness Journey pt1

My Goals & Action Plan

As of today I weigh 188 pounds. Although It's not the heaviest I've ever been, after being in the best shape of my adult life just 6 years ago, it really takes a toll on my mental health. The past 5 years I've fought a lot of physical and mental battles that have hindered my wellness. I've finally decided to take back my power and that has led me to this point. A couple of weeks ago I started at Blush Boot camp. I fitness center for women that focuses on meeting you where you are. It was amazing but because I needed to come and help my Grandma while she isn't doing well, I had to put it on hold. After a few days of not doing anything, I decided that although I may not be able to go to the gym I can totally work on myself here. So, I started an accountability workout group and started a squat challenge. I also wake up and do a quick morning workout that consists of push ups, squats, crunches and jumping jacks. I'm feeling well but I am having a hard time controlling my snacking. My day mostly consists of sitting with my Grandma and working on my businesses online. I find myself snacking because I'm bored. I have been drinking a lot of water but I really need to get some healthy snacks. So that is a goal. Life isn't going as planned but does it ever? As long as I'm moving in some way throughout the day, I've already done better than I have before. So.... goals: move daily, healthy snacking and keep up with business.
